Rose: Skincare

If you can’t tell by now, Roses are my favorite flower. They are the definition of beauty and are so much more than just a pretty flower. Rose water/petals have anti-inflammatory properties that can reduce redness of irritated skin and cleanses carefully by removing oils and unclogging pores while hydrating the skin.

Here are a few rose items that I use in my skincare routine:

Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner

Thayers Rose Petal Toner

This is my favorite drugstore toner. I get mine at my local Target and is an affordable option. It is alcohol free and perfect for my sensitive, dry skin. The rose moisturizes while the certified organic aloe vera soothes your skin. Other benefits is this product is free of sulfates, phthalates, dyes, parabens, formaldehyde, and aluminum. I make my own facial wipes with cotton pads in a glass jar with a couple sprinkles of this toner. Very handy and a money saver. It also comes in spray form for on the go moments!

Fresh Rose Mask + Lip Treatment

FreshRoseMaskI use this mask 2-3 times per week and it has evened my skin tone. I have a pink tint to my skin and it’s mostly from dryness and irritation. Fresh is one of my favorite skincare lines because every product that I have used has never irritated my skin or made me break out. It soothes your skin and prepares it for other products. You have to start with a healthy base and this will help get you there. This mask is so gentle that it can be used daily!  Sephora.com |$25 – 1 fl oz | $62 – 3.3 fl oz

FreshLipTreatment

Petal, Nude, Rose, Original, Honey

Although the rose in this item is the description of the color, I had to include it because it’s my favorite lip product. It is more than a tinted chapstick as this item has SPF 15 that moisturizes, protects and smoothed lips. Most lip products you have to reapply over and over again for your lips to feel nourished – not this one. Even when the color fades, your lips feel hydrated. With 14 shades and 8,000 4+ star reviews on Sephora, you know it’s a keeper! I recommend getting a sample pack in the minis that feature a variety of colors. Fresh is great at launching mini sample gift sets. If you would like to try the Rose line, I recommend purchasing this! Sephora.com | $55 – Rose Hydration Hotshots

Mario Badescu Rose Facial Spray and Oil

MarioBadescu. RoseSpray

The Rosewater, Aloe, and Herbs is my go-to facial spray. I know there are more natural products on the market, but you can’t go wrong with this price point and it helps hydrate my skin all day long. It has a light scent and comes in many sizes that make it perfect to put in a purse or carryon for travel. It will save your skin while on those nasty dry planes!

MarioBadescu. RoseOil

Next is the Rose Hip Nourishing Oil that I use in the morning as a serum 3-4 times per week. It gives my skin an added boost of hydration since I take super hot showers (everyone has their vice!) Since the heat sucks everything out of my skin, this puts it all back. It has vitamin C for that helps brighten the skin and most importantly light and not pore-clogging! A little goes a long way so use sparingly.
